Betarq Group is an architects and building engineer studio in Barcelona, founded in 2005 by Julio López, Ramon Cisa, and Sergi Barquet. Specialized in Projects, Construction Director, Execution Director, Quantity Surveyor, and Project Management in the building field; who accumulates big experience in unique buildings, both public and private, with a great variety of uses. Convinced that in the office of designing or directing architecture, there is no more specialization than passion and professionalism. It is committed to sustainability, innovation, rehabilitation, constant learning, and technological innovations.
Betarq is essentially a human team, committed, and professional, who lives the job with the rigor and enthusiasm necessary. Betarq can boast of having intervened in Projects and Directions of works quite famous: such as the New Spotify Camp Nou, the renovation of the Hotel Juan Carlos I, the State Public Library in Barcelona (in the Project phase), the San Joan de Deu Hospital of Sant Boi, the Center for Comparative Medicine in Can Ruti or the LCI Barcelona design school.
And in singular buildings such as the first multifamily light timber-framed residential building in the state or the first office building made entirely of wood. In large residential buildings promoted by Culmia, AQ Acentor, Altamira; Criteria, also from public organizations such as Impsol. Or for other uses such as the Sants Mortuary, the Rehabilitation and Extension of the Castle of Cap Roig, or cultural centers such as La Lira of Sant Andreu or the Sociocultural Center of Alella. Office buildings such as the Roche Diagnostics Campus, the Wittywood building, the industrial warehouse and offices by Riera Nadeu, or rehabilitations in the heritage area such as the renovation of the Casa Alesan in Barcelona. Sports facilities such as the Club Natació Sabadell, in addition to several hotels: Hotel Diagonal, The Wittmore or the Juan Carlos I, as mentioned before. Furthermore, in the public sphere, there is the Fabrica del Sol building (a paradigm of sustainability), the business incubator of the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys, several pavilions at the Barcelona Zoo, municipal parking lots, or the North Station reform project, currently in the project phase.
