This December has completed the stabilization and upper enclosure works of the Vallvidrera football field.
The most urgent intervention was to develop the stabilization of the existing slope in the southern goal as well as to create a passage outside the boundaries of the football field that would allow the connection of the west side of the field with the east without going past the southern goal. In order to do this intervention, he performed in 2 phases:
– Slope stability and upper closure:
Due to the typology of the mountain and, since the southern goal there was an important slope, there were landslides, usually of slate type “licorella”. For a safety issue of users and the public, the slope was stabilized by a surface reinforced geomesh type “MACMA R1 8127 GN” fixed to the slope by bolts. A closure was also made at the top of the slope to delimit the privacy of the football field and prevent falls from above.
In order to place the slope stabilization meshes the shed and reservoir were removed from the irrigation and the continuous treatment was done, a small containment murete was placed as the lower limit of the slope and a drain finished with gravel and plant soil with plants climbers behind the murete.
– Displacement of machines and burial of the reservoir of the irrigation network:
Prior to the intervention on the slope, another project (different phase) was carried out where it was indicated that the current irrigation shed and reservoir should be removed which, due to its location, against the slope, hindered the work of stabilizing the geomesh and did not allow the passage people behind the lines of the football field.
A new water tank was sown on the east side below the pedestrian or public crossing strip and the irrigation pumps, electrical boxes, irrigation scheduler and field box were placed in the warehouse space next to the football field.
